Q: Bought a set of this filter that no indication of which cartridge is for the sediment and be installed first to filter the water, and which cartridge is to be installed second to filter the chemicals etc? Please explain. Thanks

A: Yes, the Pentek P-250 can replace the FXSVC.

Q: Description says 21" but that it's also 5 inches longer than the Everpure cartridge. The Everpure description also says 21"...so is it really longer?

A: The white filter with the green cap is the sediment filter. The dark filter is the carbon filter. The sediment filter needs to be installed before the carbon filter. You want your water to go through the sediment filter first, so you need to install the white filter in the housing that the water enters into and install the dark filter in the second housing that the water exits from.
