Question & Answers

Q after replacing filters why does the water only trickle out and is cloudy?
A Ours did the same thing but the stream grows much stronger the longer you use it. It doesn't appear it will ever be a rapid fill situation. We can only assume it is doing a great job of filtering the water.
Q I installed this model earlier today, and I got it running with no leaks. I had to buy a brass t-connector to keep it from leaking though. The plastic connector that came with the model leaked. My question is this: The water flow from the unit is strong for the first couple of seconds and then it slows to a trickle and then a drip until I turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes. I turn it back on and the same thing repeats. Everything is brand new from the box, so I assume the filters are good. What could the problem be? My main faucet works fine with no problems, so I know it is not a problem with the local water pressure. Thanks, Todd
A My reply is late for the question, but just in case someone else is looking - when you first install new filters it will run very slow for at least a day, the flow will slowly increase over a couple days and then run consistently until you change the filters again.

Q We are looking for an under the sink water filtration system that has a bronze or copper faucet that is on the counter. We do NOT want chrome or silver. Do you have anything? Thank you, Alice Kutach
A The under sink systems that we carry only come with chrome or silver faucets. The only other option would be to purchase a faucet separately to use in its place. http://www.waterfiltersfast.com/Westbrass-1-Handle-Cold-Water-Dispenser-in-Oil-Rubbed-Bronze-Finish_p_11579.html
Q how long until the water flow slows down?
A When the water flow rate has slowed that is your indication that it is time to change the filters. Recommended time frame to change your filters is every six months.
Q why do i have low water pressure after changing the cartridges?
A It could be a number of things that is causing this problem. Ranging from length of time between filter changes to construction in your are which can affect water pressure. Contact Ecodyne directly @ 1-866-986-3223 and they will be able to trouble shoot this with you.

Q Where can I get replacement parts?
A I live in the northwest Chicago surburan area and the only place to buy the filters in our area is Lowes.
A You will need to contact Whirlpool directly at 1-866-698-2538 for individual parts. We do sell the replacement filters. They are the Whirlpool WHEEDF http://www.waterfiltersfast.com/Whirlpool-WHEEDF-UltraEase-Undersink-Filtration-Replacement-Filter-WHED20_p_290.html
Q How long do the filters usually last?
A It is not howlong the filter lasts. It is how long does thr battery for the indicator light last. that is about six monts till the Indecator changes color.
A 6 months or so
A A year if your are lucky. I had to replace my today. It would have been a year the end of March. Good Luck, Jimmy
A The manufacturer says 6 mos. There's a little light that blinks when it's time to change the filter, but it's just a 6mos timer -- there's no sensor or way to tell if the filter really needs to be changed.
A 6 months
Q where does the battery go to the system?
A The 'button battery' goes into a clip in a holder in the base of the faucet. A small panel slides upward and you will see the battery compartment into which the battery slides. It is changed each time you change the dilters.
A There is a small light in the base of the faucet. When the prescribed time goes by, the light comes on reminding you it is time to change the filter.
A The battery is housed in the faucet housing. It fits inside a compartment on the front of the faucet. You need a mini screwdriver to open and close the battery slot.
A Faucet Timer To change the battery, complete the following steps. Battery Change 1. Loosen the screw on the right side of the faucet base. 2. Press the battery housing upwards from faucet base until it releases from the base. 3. Replace the battery (CR 2032 or equivalent). Place battery into the holder with the positive (+) side facing the back of the holder. 4. When the battery is first replaced the light in the base will flash six times and turn off. This indicates the battery is fully charged. After the six flashes the timer enters the 6 month time cycle. If it repeatedly flashes two times, the battery is weak and needs to be replaced. 5. Re-install the battery housing and firmly tighten the mounting screw.
Q changing filters leaks?
A Make sure that the filters have been installed properly by twist and locking to the right. If filters are still leaking, then it could possibly be another reason and you may need to contact the retailer for further troubleshooting.

A We sell several scale reduction filters depending on which brand you feel more comfortable with. There are too many to list here. Here is a link for your convenience. http://search.waterfiltersfast.com/search/keywords-scale_reduction--sn-160519899
A If you look under the "Manuals" tab in the item description, you will see the Performance Data Sheet which gives a complete list of the contaminants removed. I do not see Calcium listed.
Q The T-connection supplied to tap into the water line is for a 1/2" water line. I have a 3/8" water line. Do you have a T-connection for a 3/8"?
A I am sorry but we do not sell those. You should be able to find them at any local hardware store though.
Q what filter is first to water inlet? 1 or 2
A The filter with the yellow tip should go first then the green tip.
Q Is there any way to shorten the yellow and blue lines after they are installed?
A If there cut they have to be treconnected to the shuof valve and be burr free. you mught have to get new bushings. If it is long enongh to coil put a zip tie that can b screwed to one side that would be better.

Q I am interested in ordering replacement filters for this Filtration System. Whirlpool WHED20. How do I order? I do not see them listed under replacement filters.
A I haven't replaced my filters yet. We use filtered water only for drinking, coffee and in cooking. So far, so good! I am sure you can get replacement filters on line. I think I've seen them at Home Depot, too.
A I have ordered replament filters from WaterFiltersFast twice and got then quickly. Allen H
A If you go to the water system page you'll see them at the bottom. Or do a search for WHED20. Think the replacement filters are WHEED.
A The replacement filters for the WHED20 are the WHEEDF filters. You may order them on the website or call us at 1-855-789-3278.
Q Why did you choose this?
A Needed a replacement, am happy with the quality.
A The faucet on my existing system broke and the price for the replacement part was $100. I was able to buy this complete system for only $104. Great price! Great service! Thank you.
A Repeated contaminant warnings from the water company, plus high chlorine smell at times prompted the purchase. Hopefully at least breaking even on cost of drinking water (vs buying bottled at store).
A good review, good price
