Q I have a KitchenAid KHWG160PSS hot water dispenser that releases water after it has been used. It releases the water several seconds to several minutes after use. It acts as if water is being held temporarily in the tap by suction the same way water is held in a straw by holding your finger on the end and then releasing it. What is the likely cause of this problem, and how should I go about fixing it? I do not have a diagram or installation instructions. Thanks
A You will need to refer to the installation manual. It could a couple of things that is causing this problem. If you aren't able to find a solution please contact Kitchenaid for customer support and they should be able to trouble shoot this with you. Q Does this have a stainless steel finish?
A While this particular model is Polished Stainless Steel it is no longer in production by the manufacturer.
Q does it have a reset button?
A No. There is not a reset button.
Q I need a replacement cartridge for KHWG160PSS what does it look like and how much does it cost?
A The KHWG160PSS does not have a replacement cartridge. If you wanted to filter the water before it reached the dispenser, you would need to install an inline water filter to your main water line. There are various sizes and connector options available for inline filters.
