Q What is the expected lifetime of the filter? Would it be suitable for a spa supply?

A the Aries filters are "Specialty" filters that do have a longer life than most filters. It is hard to determine specifically how long they will last, but once flow rate goes down, it is time to change them. These are specialty filters designed for different removal of things. This one in particular is for Tannin removal.
