Question & Answers

Q I am unable to remove the existing filter. It is stuck in the housing. How to remove this ? Thanks, D. B
A You need to get a good grip on the existing filter, try using some rubber gloves, once you get it to rotate, it will fall out. If that does not work, try an oil filter removal tool that you can get at auto stores.
A Before you try to pull down on the unit, you must twist it to the left (just an inch or two) Sometimes this is hard for me, too, but if you grasp it firmly and twist the whole unit, it should begin to move, and then it will just slip down and sort of fall out. Sometimes a bit of water leaks when this happens. To install the new filter, you twist it to the right. I hope this helps.
A It should turn a 1/4 turn and then drop out. Turn it counter clockwise. Hope this was helpful.
A I use a rubber jar top opener for a better grasp and then use brute strength. Sometimes I'm afraid I may damage the housing, but I haven't yet.
A You have to twist until the arrows align up at remove and then after twisting pull down.
Q Why did you choose this?
A It is the one that fits my frig. and it is easy to purchase through this company
A I have previously ordered from here and I like free shipping.
A last one expired
A I purchased the filter because it is the correct size for my fridge and was not happy with other brands I have purchased in the past.
A Less costly than buying at Sears....paid almost double, but I needed immediately.
A This is the easiest and fastest way to replace my refrigerator filter.
A Because it's the filter that goes with my refrigerator
A it was a better price than the kenmore replacement filter
A I'm replacing my filter and I WANTED the name brand that I took out. NO after name market brand.
A Always in stock. Fast and excellent service.
